Looking back over the past year, I’ve accomplished quite a bit and learned so much about how to blog and run a website. I’ve also learned what not to do by making tons of mistakes. I’m sure there will be more to come!
It’s my official Blogging Anniversary today! It was one year ago that I took the plunge into official blogdom and published my first post on Embracing the Lovely. And it’s been a wonderful journey! It’s been a time of making new friends, praying together and creating lovely things together, hasn’t it?
In honor of my 1 year blogaversary, I’d like to share my top 5 blog posts with you.
Why I won’t be finishing “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young
One of my first ‘off the cuff’ blog posts was haphazardly thrown together and published. Upon purchasing the devotion “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young, alarm bells started going off due to the New Age buzzwords that were clearly evident due to my upbringing. With over 13,000 hits, it was a post that has either resonated with people or made people angry as evidenced by the 100 plus comments.
There are many that would disagree with me, but I still stand by my views on my thoughts. Once you’ve been involved in the New Age, there is a discernment like no other when the gospel is being polluted. You can read Why I won’t be finishing “Jesus Calling “ here.
Pray without Ceasing Bible Journaling
This Bible Journaling was taken inspired from Philippians 4:17, where the Bible encourages Christians to “Pray without Ceasing”. God wants us to take our worries, cares and concerns, and give them all to Him. He urges us in His word to take all of our anxieties and requests to Him and His peace will guard our hearts.
This bible journalings is one of my all time favorites and you can view it here.
Roots Run Deep
The storms of life are inevitable. They will surely happen. Every so often, I ask myself if the roots that I am cultivating are shallow.
Do my roots go down deep into the soil of God’s love and Mercy taking me through difficulty and hardship?
By His Grace we can weather the storm!
We are given the wonderful opportunity to cultivate strong and deep roots that will take us into the journey of Eternity with Him
